Investor’s assignment
For the new garden center showroom in Hradec Králové, located in the reconstructed premises on the premises of the INPOZ company, the customer was looking for a new heating method that would match the design of the presentation of the garden center’s premium products. Radiators were rejected due to the requirement to make maximum use of all walls of the showroom for product presentation, and ceiling hot water radiant heating fully met the customer’s requirements, and in combination with linear LED lighting from the KSP to go system, it was a quick choice.
Solution
Four Kotrbatý KSP KIT hot water radiant panels with a length of 21m and widths of 330 and 720mm were designed in the showroom. The panels were hung evenly at a height of 3m to evenly cover the store area with heat and light. At the same time as the showroom, the panels were also installed in the service center area. The heating system was connected to the central heat source using a pressure-dependent transfer station with heat measurement.
Customer review
The main advantage of the radiant ceiling heating system is a simple design that fits into the concept of a garden center and minimal restrictions on the use of the showroom area, i.e. all walls are available for product presentation. and installation The operational experience is short so far, i.e. less than one heating season, in which the showroom reconstruction was mostly finalized. However, the heating and thermal comfort in the showroom was sufficient and for real operation the system will still be regulated and the heating time program set so that there are higher savings. The system met our expectations and we can recommend it.

In the newly renovated store in Radotín you will find a large selection of plants from the best Czech growers. In addition, trees imported from nurseries in the Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Germany and other European countries. Pragoflora was founded in 2005. It has continuously continued the best traditions and 13 years of experience of the Bermak company, which has gained many satisfied customers during its long-term operation in the Prague Radotín area.

Investor’s assignment
A solution was proposed with two Kotrbatý KSP to go hot water radiant belts with a length of 27m and a width of 900mm with side LED lighting. The panels were hung at a height of 3.7m and radiate evenly over the entire area of the store. The heat source is currently an electric boiler, which will be replaced with a gas boiler after the reconstruction is completed.
Solution
A positive reference to radiant heating from employees from a nearby production hall was an impulse for the investor and defined the idea of a technical heating solution. 3 strips of Kotrbatý KSP hot water panel were installed under the ceiling, each 20m long and 1.2m wide, connected to a new gas boiler. The existing radiators in the niches under the windows were removed and the freed space was effectively used for a work platform, tire balancer and other equipment, see photos. Thanks to the thermally insulated upper part of the panel with the effect of radiating heat downwards to the workplace, there is no unnecessary heating and accumulation of warm air under the insufficiently insulated roof.

The simplicity of the Kotrbatý KSP to go system and its immediate availability at the Ptáček wholesaler were one of the main arguments, along with the maximum use of the store area, where no radiators or blowers interfered. The integration of linear LED lighting on the edges of the panels is very simple and makes installation work easier compared to separately designed lighting. Winter operation has shown that the store can be sufficiently heated to the required temperature with radiant panels and the only thing that needs to be solved is a gas boiler room with better regulation of the heating water temperature, which we plan to do in the next step of the reconstruction. The Kotrbatý KSP to go radiant system met our expectations and we can recommend it.

Investor’s assignment
For the new store, the construction contractor was tasked with finding a replacement for standard radiators that would limit the use of the store and reduce the usable area for product presentation. The customer’s main requirement was to maximize the sales area, i.e. ideally heat from the ceiling. The lighting had already been purchased at the time of the heating requirement, otherwise it was proposed to supplement the panels with linear LED lights from the KSP to go system.
Solution
A solution was proposed with two Kotrbatý KSP to go hot water radiant panels, 17m long and 900mm wide. The panels were hung at a height of 2.8m and radiate evenly across the entire area of the store, which is 3m high. The panels were hung just below the plasterboard ceiling, symmetrically to the floor plan of the room, so they do not disrupt the simple and clean design of the ceiling. The heat source is a gas boiler.

In addition to its own implementations, it also operates a heating equipment store and showroom and a bathroom studio.
The idea to use radiant heating in Kotrbatý came directly from Mr. Štrébl, who was looking for a solution to his problem in the store and showroom.

Investor’s assignment
To resolve complaints about insufficient heating (in winter) at the workplace of the store staff, whose workplace is adjacent to an unheated warehouse. In order to achieve acceptable comfort, the entire showroom had to be heated, which was not energy efficient and still did not achieve thermal comfort at the workplace. The goal was also to reduce heating costs.
Solution
A Kotrbatý KSP to go panel with a length of 2m and a width of 900mm with LED lighting was placed above the work counter. This achieved excellent thermal comfort in the workplace with the current workplace lighting. The connection was made to the existing gas boiler. At the same time, the possibility of dimming the radiators in the showroom was considered, since customers coming from outside are warmly dressed and do not need a high temperature in the showroom to feel comfortable, on the contrary, a lower temperature is more pleasant. This creates the prerequisite for interesting savings.
Customer review
The implemented solution fully met expectations. The working space is sufficiently comfortable, heated to 22°C, and in the showroom the heating was reduced to 18°C, which resulted in the required heat savings thanks to a lower temperature of 4°C. The staff also praises the quick start-up of the heating with the radiant panel. Thanks to this personal experience with directed radiant heat in the workplace, the customer definitely recommends the use of Kotrbatý radiant panels.
