Who we are
The company KOTRBATÝ is a family company with 100% Czech capital and tradition. The company’s goal is to offer customers solutions that effectively meet their needs and at the same time make economic sense. These are smart solutions. Smart heating supplies energy exactly where it is needed and only as much as is currently needed to ensure thermal comfort for people. The heat produced is used to the maximum extent, because the cheapest heat is unproduced! This goal cannot be achieved only by choosing the product with the highest efficiency, but especially by choosing the heating method that is most suitable for the given space, workplace.
The most important characteristics of our employees are skills, knowledge, reliability and initiative. After years on the market, we have built a very strong team that now allows us to compete and be successful in the most complicated markets in Europe.
We don’t want to produce large series of cheap, inefficient products; our goal is to always offer something extra.

History
The family company KOTRBATÝ continues the long-standing work of the company founder in the field of heating and ventilation of large-scale buildings and heat transfer stations.
Ing. Miroslav Kotrbatý, a graduate of the Real Gymnasium, the thermal engineering entrance course and the Czech Technical University in Prague, began to cooperate in the 1950s with the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences – Institute for Machine Research, specifically with Dr.ing. Jaromír Cihelka Csc on the development of heating of large-scale buildings with suspended radiant panels and infrared gas radiators. As the chief specialist for heating and ventilation at the State Institute PROJEKTA, he developed KMI and KMII panels and, together with Jaromír Cihelka, developed a calculation methodology, as well as a methodology for designing infrared gas radiators.
In 1973, after moving to the Regional Design Institute in Prague, he began working on the development of object-based heat transfer stations and block pressure-dependent stations. In 1988, he patented his own product, a “modular radiant panel with a reflective surface for heating and drying.” Its production was commissioned to the STROSS Sedlčany plant. It was manufactured under the name KZ (co-author of the production technology – ing. Václav Zíb). Both of these areas of the heating industry became the main focus of the private company KOTRBATÝ V.M.Z. spol. s r.o.

2017
We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Kotrbatý company. We have a new website and a new product, the KSP kit.
2019
KSP to go radiant panels won the prestigious German Brand Awards 2019 on the German market.
2017
In cooperation with RMBH, a new product, the KSP to go radiant panel, was developed and launched on the market.
2016
NEOPLANT MÜHENDİSLİK has become the new exclusive representative of KOTRBATÝ products in Turkey.
2015
The third generation of the Kotrbaty family, Ing. Ondřej Hojer, Ph.D., is taking on the position of executive director.
2013
The founder of the company and lifelong promoter of radiant heating in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, Ing. Miroslav KOTRBATÝ, has died.
Kotrbatý KSP radiant panels have received the highest European quality certification DIN Geprüft / Keymark.
Only products from three manufacturers on the entire European market have the same certification.
2012
Acquisition of the company INDUCTAIR s.r.o., for which we have been producing energy-efficient stainless steel hoods for kitchen ventilation for several years.
RMBH GmBH has become the new exclusive representative of the KOTRBATÝ company in German-speaking countries.
2009
Serial production of the SILKOT pothole repair machine has begun.
2003
Production of our own light infrared gas heaters of the MK type has begun. In parallel with the production of infrared heaters and radiant panels, regulation has been developed and is being supplied.
Mosaic control of infrared systems in both linear and wireless versions allows for a significant reduction in gas consumption.
In the field of radiant panels, the most advantageous combination is with adjustable ejectors.
This approach has positioned the company as a comprehensive supplier of heating systems for large-scale buildings and heat transfer stations.
Operation and production of equipment for hot air and infrared drying started.
1998
Purchase of new production facilities in Pelhřimov.
End of production of the KZ radiant panel in Sedlčany.
The company Kotrbatý s.r.o. Pelhřimov purchased a production line and an innovation of the radiant panel was carried out.
Production started in the new plant.
1993
Establishment of a production and assembly plant in Pelhřimov KOTRBATÝ V.M.Z. spol. s r.o.
Production premises: former garages of the District Housing Company.
